Tonight we opened a delicious Semillon from Bordeaux (2019 Chateau Climens Asphodele Blanc Sec). I would rate it a 4.1 for it’s complexity and many layers of lemon, citrus, stone fruit, mineral, salt, oak and tropical notes. I would’ve preferred it paired with buttery lobster tail or sauteed scallops but I still enjoyed it with a cheese plate followed by my meatloaf and salad.
