Tonight we had a lovely bottle of 2017 Sterling Vineyards Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon served with a grilled ribeye, roasted brussels, a wedge salad and French onion soup. Mmmm! I rated this Cab a 4.3. It had a beautiful dark garnet/purple color and on the nose scents of rich dark fruit, a floral bouquet, and tobacco.
This wine took some time to open up. I would recommend decanting or letting it breathe and open up for an hour or so. It became more smooth and rich and balanced with some time. I tasted notes of dark fruit, licorice, cedar and chocolate.
