My husband and I decided to use date night to try this pinot producer we kept hearing about, Wayfarer. This was a unique pinot, so much darker than you would think from Pinot Noir. The next day we called and made a sizeable order. We sent these photos and rating to Michael from Wayfarer who was waiting to see what we thought! We will visit them when we return to Sonoma this November! On that trip, we are looking forward to trying their Chardonnay as well.
2021 Wayfarer Mother Rock Pinot Noir
Tasting notes: Black fruit, black cherry, blackberry, boysenberry, black currant, plum, cedar, red licorice, leather, blueberry, red fruit secondary, strawberry raspberry, baking spice, pie filling, cinnamon, lavender and rose
Characteristics: Smooth and balanced with a long lingering finish. Masculine yet elegant.
