Tonight I made Korean chicken stir fry with a kick of spice with broccoli and cashews over white rice and paired it with a 2022 Wilamette Valley Pinot Noir. It was a beautiful ruby color, higher in acid and dry but with the earthy, oaky notes it gave it a full body, great mouthfeel and lasting finish. On the nose, I got red cherry and oak. On the palette, notes of red fruit specifically cherry, tobacco, baking spice, leather, cranberry, and a hint of orange peel. I rated this pinot a 4.1!
