Tonight I elevated an ordinary weeknight dinner with an amazing French Bordeaux. The 2014 Chateau La Lagune Grand Cru Classe was medium in body and heavily tannic. Once decanted and left to breathe for a few hours it smoothed out and became silky and luxurious. It had a beautiful bouquet of black cherries and blackberry, balanced with vanilla, oak, tobacco, licorice, spice and earthy leathery notes. I rated this Bordeaux a 4.3!
