Have you ever been to a wine tasting and loved every wine you tasted? That happened to me when I visited Biltmore Estates in Asheville, NC, a few years ago. I enjoyed the tasting experience so much that I joined the wine club. Without fail, every bottle I open is fabulous. Tonight was no exception! I grilled up a NY Strip steak with some roasted potatoes and snap peas and wanted a comforting yet bold and consistent, easy-drinking wine to serve along with dinner. I decided on one of my go to Biltmore Wines.
The Hunt Red Blend is a gorgeous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc, and Merlot in a Bordeaux style. The first sip is smooth yet comforting and familiar with notes of dark cherry, smoke, vanilla, plum, and earthy, leather undertones. Not only do I recommend taking a trip to the beautiful property and area surrounding the Biltmore but recommend giving this wine along with others from the winery a try. The price point as well as the delicious wine selection would be a hit at any dinner party and a go-to staple in any wine cellar!
